This April marks the one year “blogiversary” for Frugal Organic Mama. What a crazy and fulfilling year it has been. When I began this journey, I was a mother to 2 little girls, working full time as an analyst for a medical device company and blogging in my spare time. Fast forward one year later, I’m a mother to 3 little ladies, and a stay at home mom with far less spare time for blogging than I did when I was working. My life is now both more difficult and more fulfilling than I ever imagined possible; I truly understand what people mean when they say being a stay at home mom is the hardest job, but every day I feel thankful that I’ve been given this amazing opportunity.
I want to extend a heartfelt and sincere thank you to all my loyal readers who have joined me on this journey. Without you, this little project of mine would not be as fun. It’s comforting to know that someone out there is reading this and maybe I bring some enjoyment to your day like you do to mine. In the past year I’ve made connections with people I never would have expected. Last month my goat cheese post was actually published in a new magazine called “New American Homesteader”. I participated in a blogging seminar where I got to meet other “mom bloggers” in my area and try out the amazing new Ergo 360 baby carrier. Most importantly (and unexpectedly), I’ve become more connected to my extended family. Like my cousin Lindsay who designed my site and my Aunt Cindy who is always the first one to comment on any of my Facebook posts. Overall, the past year of writing this blog has brought more enjoyment and satisfaction in my life than I ever thought it would.
This coming year I hope to continue to grow this site. I plan to reinstate the Monday meal plans with seasonal recipe ideas to inspire you. I also plan to bring more topics to the series on Going Green to Save Green as well as possibly give you a peek into my life as a mom with some organizational ideas, kids crafts and more simple family friendly recipes.
Please check out the top ten posts from the past year:
I hope your year was as wonderful as mine. Leave a comment and let me know what you’d like to see more of this year!
