Canning Math Cheat Sheet
It's frustrating to harvest 10 pounds of cucumbers only to realize you only have 3 jars. This calculator uses standard USDA packing densities:
- 🥒 Cucumbers ~1.5 lbs per Quart
- 🥬 Green Beans ~1.5 - 2 lbs per Quart
- 🍅 Tomatoes (Crushed) ~2.5 - 3 lbs per Quart
Tip: Always buy one more box of jars than you think you need. You can always use them for dry storage!
